Ellicott Creek Park

Ellicott Creek Park is a 165-acre green space with walking trails, open fields, and recreational facilities spread throughout the landscape. The park includes tennis courts, picnic areas, a canoe launch, and a designated disc golf course.

The site began as private land in 1926 and expanded when the county acquired additional parcels through foreclosures. Federal employment programs in the 1930s brought infrastructure improvements that shaped the park into its current form.

This space functions as a community gathering spot where neighbors meet for sports, recreation, and family outings throughout the year. The mix of sports facilities and open green areas shows how central the park is to local daily life.

The park is accessible year-round with parking areas, restroom facilities, and picnic spots distributed throughout the grounds. A canoe launch along the creek allows water access for paddling activities.

A section of the park was designated as Bark Park in 2014, offering an off-leash area where dogs can roam and play freely under supervision. This addition has made the space welcoming for pet owners and their animals.
