Nuckolls-Jefferies House

The residence features a two-and-half-story frame structure with a stone foundation and weatherboard cladding, displaying Greek Revival and Classical Revival architectural elements throughout its design.

William Thompson Nuckolls constructed the house in 1843, and John D. Jefferies made substantial modifications during the 1870s, adding Neo-Classical elements to the original structure.

The property preserves three original outbuildings, including a nineteenth-century log smokehouse and two frame barns, representing rural agricultural practices of the period.

Located at 571 Asbury Road, the privately owned property received National Register of Historic Places designation in 2007, encompassing 1.4 acres of land.

The house exhibits a two-tiered central portico with a pediment, supported by wooden posts and decorated with arched cutouts and a circular window featuring floral tracery.
