McGregor Links is an 18-hole golf course in Wilton designed by renowned architect Devereux Emmet. The course offers multiple tee positions and is laid out as a championship-quality playing field.
The course was founded in 1921 by State Senator Edward T. Brackett with design by architect Devereux Emmet. It was built during the era when golf was rapidly growing in popularity across America.
The course serves as home for Skidmore College's golf team, and you will often see student athletes practicing and competing here. The facility has become woven into the local sports culture of the region.
The course operates seasonally from April through October with public access available on most days of the week. The facility provides golf cart rentals and clubhouse amenities for visitors.
During construction, professional golfer Walter Hagen predicted the course would rival famous golf clubs in competitive standing. This endorsement from one of golf's greatest players gave the course immediate credibility.
