Jenkins Creek Park

Jenkins Creek Park is a coastal park in Hernando Beach featuring natural freshwater springs, salt marshes, and waterways that flow toward the Gulf of Mexico. It offers boat launching areas, fishing piers, grills, picnic tables, and restrooms open 24 hours.

The park was established as an important recreation space for Hernando County residents and has served this purpose since its creation. It became a central hub for water-based leisure activities along the Florida Adventure Coast.

Local anglers gather here to fish and exchange their catch experiences with one another. The waterfront space has become a natural gathering place for water-based recreation in the community.

The park is easy to access for boating and fishing with all necessary facilities available on site. Visitors should note that the area tends to get busy during pleasant weather and early mornings offer the best chance for parking and quieter conditions.

An aluminum boardwalk connects this park to the neighboring Linda Pedersen Park, offering access to a 40-foot observation tower. From this elevated vantage point, visitors can observe the marsh landscape and spot birds and other wildlife in their natural habitat.
