Wyndham Springfield City Centre, Hotel and office tower in downtown Springfield, United States
The Wyndham Springfield City Centre is a 30-story tower in the heart of downtown Springfield, Illinois, and the tallest building in the state capital. It holds over 300 guest rooms along with event spaces, a pool, and a fitness area.
The building opened in 1974 under the name Forum 30 Plaza Hotel and changed hands and names several times over the following decades. It joined the Wyndham group in 2015 and has carried its current name since then.
The top-floor restaurant serves dishes from the Illinois region, with large windows looking out over the city below. It is one of the few places in Springfield where you can take in the full downtown skyline while having a meal.
The hotel sits in the middle of downtown Springfield, within walking distance of most central attractions. Wide entrances and modern elevators make it easy to move around the building for visitors with different mobility needs.
Glass elevators run along the outside of the first 15 floors, giving riders a direct view of the downtown streets as they travel up or down. This makes it possible to watch the city from inside the building in a way that few other towers allow.
