Cantiague Park spans over 200 acres with multiple sports fields, an Olympic-sized swimming pool, tennis courts, and extensive walking trails.
The Nassau County Department of Parks opened Cantiague Park in 1961 as its second major public park, following the establishment of Eisenhower Park.
The indoor skating rink at Cantiague Park served as a practice facility for the New York Islanders hockey team from 1979 to 1992.
The park maintains five tennis courts, turf baseball fields, three basketball courts, six handball courts, and a multipurpose field for various sports activities.
The facility features a complete aquatic complex with an Olympic pool, two water slides, diving pool, training pool, and dedicated children's water play area.
