Shore Theatre, Movie theater in Coney Island, Brooklyn, United States.
The Shore Theatre stands as a seven-story neo-Renaissance Revival structure built with brick, limestone, and terracotta at 1301 Surf Avenue.
The theater opened on June 17, 1925, with the film 'The Sporting Venus' and contained 2,472 seats for entertainment performances.
During its peak years, the theater presented both vaudeville acts and films, with a Moller organ providing musical accompaniment to performances.
The building received landmark status in 2010 from the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission, protecting its architectural elements from alterations.
The second floor contained a ballroom while the upper levels housed office spaces, creating a mixed-use entertainment and business complex.
