Pempelfort

Pempelfort is a residential district in Düsseldorf's first borough with a mix of homes, shops, and public buildings spread throughout. The area was originally uninhabited and lay beyond the city walls until royal decree in 1854 designated it as an urban zone. This transformation triggered rapid development that turned it into a major residential and business center over the following decades.
