Victoria House is an office tower reaching 108 meters high with 29 floors, constructed from glass and steel that marks the Düsseldorf skyline. The modern glass facade creates a transparent exterior that sets it apart from older structures surrounding it.
The building was designed and constructed between 1994 and 1998 by the architecture firm HPP Hentrich-Petschnigg & Partner. It emerged as part of Düsseldorf's modernization process in the postwar period, when the city reshaped its appearance through new projects.
The building shows how Düsseldorf renewed its architecture after the war, making modern office towers a common sight in the city. The glass facade shapes the cityscape today and reflects the shift toward contemporary work spaces.
The tower stands at ERGO-Platz 1 in Pempelfort, on the corner of Fischerstraße by Victoriaplatz. Its underground garage holds around 450 cars. The 29 floors and 106,600 m² of office space are occupied by ERGO Group staff, so the interior is not open to visitors; the building is seen from the surrounding square and street.
The Victoria brand was absorbed into ERGO in 2010, and journalists have since widely called the tower the Ergo-Turm. The building stands at ERGO-Platz 1 on the edge of Pempelfort, with a 450-space underground garage beneath it.
