The Freimann Mosque within the Islamic Center features a parabolic shell construction and a 33-meter-high minaret built in white concrete and glass.
The Islamic Center Munich was constructed between 1967 and 1973 as the seventh mosque in Germany and the first mosque in Bavaria.
The center provides Arabic language education through its Saturday school program, offering classes for different age groups from morning until afternoon.
The mosque accommodates 450 people, including 100 places in the women's gallery, and broadcasts prayers in Arabic with German translations.
The construction received funding from fourteen Islamic nations, with Libya contributing a substantial portion of the 3 million Deutsche Mark total cost.
