Molkenberg

Molkenberg rises to an elevation of 293 meters above sea level, featuring dense forest cover and natural trails through the Spessart region of Hesse.

The mountain holds remnants of medieval fortifications, including a 9-meter watchtower that served as a defensive position during the Thirty Years' War.

Local hiking groups maintain traditional trail markers and organize regular guided walks to share knowledge about the mountain's geological and natural features.

Visitors can access multiple marked paths leading to the summit, with the main trailhead starting near the Kurpark in Bad Orb.

The Wartturm observation tower at the peak provides views extending across three distinct geographical regions: Bad Orb, Spessart, and the Vogelsberg mountains.
