Stadtkirche St. Marien

Stadtkirche St. Marien is a three-nave Gothic church building with a western tower that has Romanesque foundations and displays the architectural style of its period. Its central nave features intricate ribbed vaults that showcase the craftsmanship of the Gothic era.

The foundation stone of the current Gothic structure was laid in 1411, with the choir area completed by master craftsman Hans Wolffart in 1434. The church replaced earlier buildings and became a central landmark in the city's identity.
