Gutshaus Dargibell, Manor house in Neu Kosenow, Germany
Gutshaus Dargibell is a single-story building with a mansard roof and a two-story central projection on its north side. The structure displays characteristic features typical of 17th-century manor estates.
The von Eickstedt family built the manor in the 17th century, after which it changed hands several times. General Otto Martin von Schwerin purchased the property in 1761 and brought it into his family.
The garden hall displays elaborate Neo-Rococo stucco reliefs that show how wealthy families decorated their living spaces. The entrance hall features an English country house staircase and wall cabinets, reflecting the domestic style of the 18th century.
Access to the building is limited since extensive renovation work is needed and only the roof has been temporarily secured. Visitors should keep a safe distance from the outside and explore the grounds respectfully.
A coat of arms adorns the gable side, documenting the marriage of Ulrich von Schwerin and Klara Gräfin von Kanitz. This heraldic shield is a rare visual testament to family bonds that were permanently recorded in stone for future generations.
