Christophoruskirche, Schierstein

The Christophoruskirche measures 24 meters in length and 15 meters in width, following golden ratio proportions with its choir positioned in the eastern section.

Construction of the church began on May 3, 1752, after the collapse of the old Schierstein church tower, and reached completion with consecration on September 15, 1754.

The interior features twelve Doric columns supporting galleries along the nave, representing the Twelve Apostles and ancient tribes of Israel.

The church holds regular Sunday services at 10:00 AM and provides parking facilities near Hafenschule outside school hours, with access via Bus Line 5.

Four Corinthian columns in the sanctuary symbolize the four Gospels, while three putti represent faith, hope, and charity theological virtues.
