Jesperhus

Jesperhus is a leisure and holiday resort near Legind Bjerge with water facilities and botanical grounds spread across the property. The site offers indoor and outdoor pools, accommodation options, a zoo section with hundreds of animals, and extensive gardens with millions of plants and flowers.

The site began in 1960 as a simple flower garden and gradually expanded into a large botanical landscape with millions of plants. Over time, water facilities and recreation areas were added, transforming it into a full resort destination.

The H.C. Andersen Fairytale Garden displays characters from classic Danish stories using flowers, houseleeks, and sculpted materials arranged throughout the grounds. Visitors encounter these figures as they walk through the space, connecting the garden's design to beloved tales from Danish culture.

The grounds are spread out with different sections accessible on foot or by small transport options within the park. Plan to spend several hours exploring the various areas, and wear comfortable shoes for walking.

The Inspiration Garden section serves as a garden showcase where visitors can discover modern gardening design ideas to apply at home. This area demonstrates practical examples that can be adapted to smaller spaces.
