The bronze statue depicts a standing soldier accompanied by a small horn player on a granite foundation near Copenhagen City Hall.
Created by sculptor Hans Peder Pedersen-Dan in 1899, the monument commemorates Danish soldiers who fought in the Schleswig Wars of 1848-1850 and 1864.
The stone foundation displays inscriptions including medallions featuring portraits of Kings Christian IX and Frederik VII, representing Danish military heritage.
