Platja del Bot, Natural beach in northern Ciutadella, Spain.
Platja del Bot is a sandy beach on the northern coast of Ciutadella with white sand and gradually deepening waters. The cove extends roughly 250 meters in length and 30 meters in width.
The coastal area of La Vall, where this beach is located, remained largely unchanged for centuries. These northern regions avoided major development and stayed relatively isolated for a long time.
The beach sits within a protected woodland area with white pines and holm oaks that frame the shore. The forest backdrop creates a sense of separation from the busier parts of the coast.
To reach the beach, start at Platja des Tancats and follow the eastern path for several minutes. The walk goes through wooded terrain and is straightforward to navigate.
The rectangular shape of the cove and sandy bottom create ideal anchoring conditions for boats in this northern area. Sailors often choose this spot for its protected setting and stable seabed.
