The sanctuary complex includes a main chapel, bullring, old inn, and spa, situated 8 kilometers northeast of Almagro in the dehesa de Torrovilla area.
The current structure, completed in 1641, replaced a 12th-century church and was commissioned by Álvaro de Bazán y Guzmán to commemorate his victory at the Battle of Lepanto.
The interior features a Baroque altarpiece with three vertical sections, displaying coats of arms from the Bazán, Villena, and Benavides families on the semi-spherical dome.
Visitors can access the sanctuary via the CM 4107 road, which connects Portugal and Extremadura to the eastern regions of Spain.
The sanctuary houses what records indicate as Spain's oldest inn-restaurant, with documented evidence of meal service dating back to the 17th century.
