The park originated from an 1870s project connecting Pontevedra's promenade to the old fairground, with landscaping work beginning in 1902.
The park includes the Monument to Navigators from 1959 and a statue of Christopher Columbus within distinct garden sections.
The space contains children's play areas, renovated lighting systems highlighting notable trees, and paved paths for walking through different garden sections.
Four marble ponds decorate the Columbus Gardens section, while the Duck Pond features miniature houses for waterfowl near Victoria Avenue.
