Kauniais Manor

Kauniais Manor is a wooden mansion in Nokia set on a ridge between Piikkilä Lake and open fields. A linden-lined avenue connects the main house to the farm buildings, where beef cattle raising and mixed farming continue to operate on the grounds.

The property began as two separate farms that were combined into a single estate during the 1600s. Over the following centuries, it evolved into a working manor with successive development and changes in how the land was managed and the buildings were used.

The main building displays work by architects Torkel Nordman, Birger Federley, and Jarl Eklund, showing how Finnish design developed in the early 1900s. You can see these architectural choices reflected in the wooden structure and its placement on the landscape.

The site is located at Kartanonkuja 100 in Siuro and is easily reached by car from Nokia. Because the farm remains active with livestock and fields in use, it is best to check visiting times in advance and be respectful of ongoing operations.

The property includes Maurin Manor, a secondary building that briefly served as a community hub with a café and shop during the 1950s. This structure shows how the grounds adapted to meet the local needs of that era.
