The steel structure spans 44 meters across Välimerenkatu, featuring a bright orange profile and connecting Hyväntoivonpuisto with Selkämerenpuisto parks.
The bridge opened on February 16, 2018, marking a significant step in transforming the Jätkäsaari neighborhood into a modern urban district.
The structure's design incorporates elements of maritime heritage through forms that reference shipping containers and harbor equipment of Helsinki's port.
The bridge includes LED light strips along its trusses and floodlights on the substructure, providing clear visibility for users during evening hours.
Engineers created the bridge using Building Information Modeling and 3D Finite Element Method models, as traditional drawings proved insufficient for its complex geometry.
