Description
Ormacleit Castle is a ruined mansion with a T-shaped design built on stone foundations in the early 1700s. The remaining walls display typical features of Scottish gentry houses from this period.
History
The castle was built in 1707 by a Clanranald leader and destroyed by fire in 1715. The burning occurred on the same day its owner died, ending the building's use.
