Lilford Hall, Grade I listed stately home in Lilford-cum-Wigsthorpe, England.

Lilford Hall is a limestone mansion containing around 100 rooms with Jacobean exterior architecture combined with Georgian-style interior design. The property sits on 350 acres of grounds featuring formal gardens and a former deer park area to the north.

The house originated as a Tudor structure in 1495 and underwent major extensions in 1635 followed by interior modifications by architect Henry Flitcroft in 1740. These building phases shaped the layered architecture visible today.

The Powys family left their mark on the property through generations, creating aviaries that once housed remarkable bird collections scattered throughout the grounds.

The estate sits along the River Nene with ample grounds to explore including gardens and parkland. Wear appropriate footwear as paths through the property may vary in condition depending on the season.

During World War II the building housed nurses working at an American air force hospital set up within the park grounds nearby. This wartime chapter left an unexpected mark on the property's story.
