St Paul's Church, Brookhouse, Anglican parish church in Caton-with-Littledale, England.
St Paul's Church is an Anglican parish church in rural England with a western tower in Gothic style featuring three levels, diagonal buttresses, and a crenellated top. The construction uses rough sandstone and shows elements from different periods of medieval and later building.
The building was founded before 1230 and underwent major restoration between 1865 and 1867 by architect Edward Graham Paley. This rebuilding phase merged the older structures with new design ideas of the Victorian era.
The interior shows an altarpiece inspired by 15th-century Florentine art, crafted by someone from the local area. The stained glass windows were made by a respected English glass studio and add warmth to the space inside.
The church remains active and holds regular services for the parish community. It is accessible during daylight hours and relatively easy to reach, though situated in a rural setting away from major roads.
Architect Edward Graham Paley was closely tied to this place and attended services here because he owned a country house nearby. His son is buried in the churchyard, showing the deep connection his family had to the community.
