St Michael and All Angels Church, Bude

St Michael and All Angels Church is an Anglican place of worship in Bude featuring a sturdy granite foundation and Polyphant stone detailing throughout its form. The interior contains carved wooden elements, including an ornate oak pulpit that demonstrates skilled craftsmanship from its construction period.

Designer George Wightwick created this structure in 1834 for a local baronet seeking a new parish church, establishing its original form. Later, architect Edward Ashworth undertook significant expansion work in 1878, adding to the building and adapting it for the next generation of worshippers.

The stained glass windows tell stories through images of angels and sacred moments, creating a visual narrative that draws the eye as you move through the interior.
