The Nicholls family transformed from farmers to minor gentry before John Nicholls added the Queen Anne facade to the original farmhouse in 1708.
The Le Grice family maintained strong regional connections, with Day Perry Le Grice serving as High Sheriff of Cornwall in 1864.
The manor house now operates as a bed and breakfast establishment while hosting weddings and public events throughout the calendar year.
