Kelham Island Museum, Industrial museum in Sheffield, England

The Kelham Island Museum exhibits Sheffield's manufacturing legacy through extensive collections of tools, machinery, and industrial equipment spread across multiple galleries.

Established in 1982, the museum occupies a former power station built in 1899, which supplied electricity to Sheffield's tram network until the 1930s.

The museum presents the stories of Sheffield's metalworking traditions through demonstrations in the Die-Sinkers Workshop and displays of the Hawley Tool Collection.

Located near the Shalesmoor tram stop, the museum opens Tuesday through Sunday, offering guided tours and maintaining a café serving regional specialties.

The River Don Engine, weighing 425 tons, represents Britain's industrial power and operates during scheduled demonstrations on weekends.
