The red Ruabon brick church features Gothic Revival architecture with Art Nouveau elements, rusticated red sandstone details, and Westmorland slate roofs.
The church, completed in 1899, emerged from a Presbyterian congregation established after the English Civil War that relocated multiple times before settling here.
The interior contains Morris & Co. stained glass windows with Edward Burne-Jones designs and ceiling paintings by Gerald Moira depicting virtues in the vestry.
Located at 57 Ullet Road, the church includes a hall resembling a medieval banqueting space and features a central garden enclosed by historic brick walls.
The church made history in 2012 as the first religious institution in the United Kingdom to register a civil partnership for a same-sex couple.
