Sgùrr Choinnich

Sgùrr Choinnich rises to an elevation of 999 meters, featuring steep grassy slopes and a narrow summit ridge that extends in an east-west direction.

The mountain was designated as a Munro, joining the catalog of Scottish peaks over 3,000 feet that mountaineers have tracked since the late 19th century.

Scottish mountaineers regularly climb this peak along with neighboring Sgùrr a' Chaorachain, following traditional routes established by generations of Highland communities.

The primary ascent route starts from Craig village in Glen Carron, following a track beside Allt a' Chonais burn before crossing to reach the north ridge.

The northern face contains notable crags overlooking Coire Choinnich, while the southern vista reveals an extensive wilderness surrounding Loch Monar.
