St Mary's Church, Warrington, Catholic church in Warrington, England

St Mary's Church is a place of worship in Warrington built in the Gothic Revival style with pale Pierpoint stone and Runcorn sandstone. A distinctive southwest tower rises prominently from the structure, showing the features of this architectural approach.

The church was built starting in 1875 from designs by E. W. Pugin and completed in 1877 by Peter Paul Pugin. These two architects shaped the Gothic Revival character of the building during its construction.

The church is managed by the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Peter and maintains traditional Catholic worship practices. Visitors can observe the importance of this faith tradition through regular ceremonies and the arrangement of the interior.

The building is Grade II listed and remains in active use with regular services. Visitors should check opening times and be aware this is an active place of worship, so respectful behavior is expected.

Eight bells hang in the bell tower, cast in 1906 and restored multiple times since then. These bells remain essential to the musical identity of the place and are used to this day.
