Seaton Carew lighthouse, 19th-century lighthouse in Hartlepool, England
The cylindrical stone lighthouse stands 19 meters tall at Hartlepool Marina, featuring a helical staircase illuminated by slit windows throughout its structure.
The Tees Navigation Company built the lighthouse in 1838 to improve access to the River Tees during a period of increased commercial activity at nearby docks.
The structure received grade II listed building status in 1985, marking its importance in the maritime heritage of northeast England's coastal communities.
The lighthouse sits at the entrance to Hartlepool Marina, providing visitors a reference point when exploring the waterfront district of the town.
Originally part of a pair of navigation lights, this structure was relocated to its current position in 1995 as a memorial to local sailors.
