Church of St Mary, West Harptree

The Church of St Mary is a listed church building featuring a prominent octagonal spire that rises above a west-facing tower with copper sheet cladding. The structure combines medieval origins with a 15th-century main body in its overall design.

The church was originally founded in the 12th century, though its current main body dates from the 15th century. A major restoration in 1865 updated and preserved the building's structure for future generations.

A former vicar here, Reverend Robert Wolfall, holds an important place in religious history on both sides of the Atlantic. He was the first Anglican to conduct Holy Communion in North America back in 1578.
