Road-rail bridge at Kisköre

The road-rail bridge at Kisköre is a combined structure that crosses the Tisza River, accommodating both rail and vehicle traffic on separate pathways. The structure connects two banks and functions as a key link in regional transportation networks.

The structure first opened in 1888 and experienced several rebuilding phases, including major renovations in the early 1900s. Conversion to reinforced concrete occurred in the mid-20th century.

The bridge forms an essential element of Hungarian infrastructure, representing the industrial development period of the late nineteenth century transportation network.

The bridge remains open to vehicles during daylight hours, while trains pass according to schedule. Pedestrians can walk across the structure and observe the river valley from this elevated vantage point.
