Tölgyes Strand
Tölgyes Strand is a thermal water park in Jászapáti with multiple pools and slides for different ages and swimming abilities. The water rises from 805 meters below the surface, maintains a temperature around 49 degrees Celsius, and contains minerals that make it suitable for therapeutic treatments and regular swimming.
The facility opened in the early 1960s as a local swimming spot. Its water received official classification as a therapeutic spring in 2002, confirming its mineral content and health benefits for treating joint and muscle problems.
The park serves as a gathering place where locals come for wellness and to spend time with family during warmer months. People use the thermal waters for healing purposes while also enjoying casual social moments and summer outings together.
The site is easy to reach by car with parking available on the grounds. During summer all pools are open for swimming, while in winter two indoor heated pools remain available for both therapy and recreation year-round.
The thermal water rises naturally from 805 meters below ground without artificial heating required. Many returning visitors report experiencing relief from joint pain and injuries after regular bathing sessions over several weeks.
