Thiruvaikunda Vinnagaram

The Thiruvaikunda Vinnagaram is a Hindu temple in Tamil Nadu built in the Dravidian style and dedicated to Lord Vishnu at its core. Eight carved pillars surround the central shrine, which serves as the focal point of the temple complex.

This site was established in the 6th century and became recognized as one of the 108 sacred Divya Desams in Vaishnava tradition. Its religious standing and architectural development transformed it into an important pilgrimage destination through the centuries.

This temple serves as a gathering place where devotees come daily to worship and participate in traditional ceremonies led by priests. Generations of pilgrims have maintained the sacred rituals that define the spiritual life of this site.

The temple is located near Sirkazhi railway station, which provides regular connections to nearby cities and towns. Visiting in early morning hours offers the most comfortable experience when temperatures are cooler and crowds are lighter.

The temple grounds contain two sacred water pools known as Lakshmi Pushkarini and Viraja Pushkarini that remain filled throughout the year. These bodies of water hold special meaning for pilgrims who visit and integrate into their spiritual experience at the site.
