The establishment of City Park in 1951 represented a major advancement in Tehran's public infrastructure during the Pahlavi period, introducing the first public park to the city.
The park's Central Library, opened in 1961, functions as an educational center where residents access literature and research materials in a dedicated learning environment.
Visitors can reach the park through the Khomeini Metro Station or Park-e Shahr bus station, with entrances on Fayaz Bakhsh Street, Hafez Street, and Khayyam Street.
The Birds Garden section contains multiple species including Budgerigars and peafowl, while the aquarium displays lungfish, arowana, and stingrays in specialized tanks.
