Oasi Zegna

Oasi Zegna is a nature reserve in the Biellese Alps with forests, meadows, and mountain trails spread across multiple communities. The landscape transitions from dense woodlands to open alpine grasslands, creating varied terrain for exploration.

The area was established in the 1930s when entrepreneur Ermenegildo Zegna launched a reforestation project, planting over 500,000 trees. This restoration effort transformed the mountain landscape and formed the foundation for the reserve that exists today.

The Panoramica Zegna road links mountain villages and shows how communities here balance daily life with their Alpine surroundings. Walking through these settlements, you notice how locals navigate between modern needs and traditional mountain customs.

The reserve offers year-round activities including hiking, mountain biking, skiing at Bielmonte resort, and wildlife watching. Trail conditions vary by season, so checking current path status helps you plan your visit and choose appropriate routes.

The reserve integrates contemporary art installations through the ALL'APERTO project, creating an outdoor gallery scattered among the trees. These artworks surprise visitors hiking through the trails who encounter unexpected creative pieces while exploring nature.
