Oasi Zegna, Nature reserve in Biella Province, Italy
The Oasi Zegna extends over 100 square kilometers of protected land in the Biellese Alps, featuring forests, meadows, and mountain trails.
The reserve originated in the 1930s when entrepreneur Ermenegildo Zegna initiated an environmental restoration project by planting over 500,000 trees in the area.
The Panoramica Zegna road, constructed in 1938, connects multiple mountain villages and provides access to traditional Alpine communities and their customs.
Visitors can engage in numerous outdoor activities throughout the year, including hiking, mountain biking, skiing at Bielmonte resort, and wildlife observation.
The reserve integrates contemporary art installations within its natural landscape through the ALL'APERTO project, creating an outdoor gallery among the trees.
