Villa Muggia, Rationalist villa in Imola, Italy.

The three-story residence contains twenty rooms built with concrete and glass, incorporating an original eighteenth-century hunting lodge structure.

Architect Piero Bottoni renovated the property between 1936 and 1938 for owner Umberto Muggia, transforming it into a summer residence.

The villa represents an architectural experiment merging modern rationalist design with traditional Italian building elements through innovative construction techniques.

The structure remains inaccessible to visitors due to extensive damage sustained during World War II bombings in 1944.

A distinctive elliptical dining table made from a single cast of concrete and marble aggregate survives as evidence of the original interior design.
