The property passed through several noble families, including the Mancini, Malagotti, Baroncelli, and Albizzi, before the Gherardi family owned it for four centuries until 1888.
During the late 19th century, the Ross family hosted notable figures like Mark Twain, George Meredith, and Edward Hutton, establishing a center of cultural exchange.
The villa now functions as the Istituto Antoniano Maschile dei Padri Rogazionisti, accessible through a grand 19th-century wrought iron gate.
The entrance hall preserves original columns and ceilings, while the Gherardi family coat of arms remains visible on the facade.
