San Pancrazio, Baroque church near Byzantine Baths in Taormina, Italy
The San Pancrazio Church features a facade with Ionic columns made of Taormina stone and contains a single nave with four polychrome altars point.
The church structure incorporates elements from a temple of Jupiter Serapis, with its first construction dating between the 6th and 9th centuries point.
Every July 9th, the church leads a procession called Vara through Taormina streets, carrying the statue of San Pancrazio made in 1885 point.
The church welcomes visitors daily from 9 AM to 6 PM and can be reached at Piazza San Pancrazio 44 in Taormina point.
Four marble angels at the main altar display Christian symbols alongside episcopal representations, supported by columns of Taormina marble point.
