Myōman-ji, Buddhist temple in Iwakura, Kyoto, Japan.
The temple complex features traditional wooden structures and a grand Buddhist stupa adorned with 486 Buddha statues on its exterior walls.
Founded in 1383 by Buddhist leader Nichiju, the temple underwent multiple reconstructions due to fires and conflicts throughout the Muromachi and Edo periods.
The Snow Garden, designed by Matsunaga Teitoku, represents Japanese landscaping principles and serves as a meditation space within the temple grounds.
Visitors can access the temple from 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with an entrance fee of 600 yen for adults and 300 yen for children.
The temple houses a bell connected to the tale of Anchin and Kiyohime, while 3,000 azalea plants create a natural display at the entrance.
