Myōhō-ji, Buddhist temple in Setagaya, Japan
Myoho-ji Temple features an 8-meter high technological Buddha statue that changes its position throughout the day within its spiritual compound.
The temple originated approximately 350 years ago when residents from the neighboring Joko-ji temple established this religious site in 1664.
The temple grounds host multiple annual ceremonies including New Year visits, Spring and Autumn equinox services, and flower festivals.
Visitors can access the temple via a 15-minute walk from Seijo-gakuen-mae Station on the Odakyu Line or by bus to Toho-mae stop.
The technological Buddha statue rotates 180 degrees at 5 PM daily and changes its orientation when visitors approach during morning hours.
