Harafudou Falls, Three-tier waterfall in Shiso, Japan
The Harafudo Falls cascades down 88 meters through three distinct levels within a native forest of Japanese beech and fir trees.
During the Edo period, local residents maintained the waterfall paths as part of their religious practices connected to mountain worship traditions.
The waterfall holds the distinction of being selected as one of Japan's Top 100 Waterfalls, representing the natural heritage of Hyogo Prefecture.
Visitors can access the falls via a paved walkway from April to November, with parking facilities available for 50 vehicles at the base.
The site features two separate streams known as the male and female falls, creating parallel water flows through the dense mountain forest.
