Shinjuku Maynds Tower, Corporate skyscraper in Shibuya, Japan.
Shinjuku Maynds Tower is an office building in Tokyo with 34 floors featuring an L-shaped footprint and extensive glazing that brings daylight deep into the structure. The design integrates commercial facilities and public spaces throughout its lower levels.
The structure was built on the site of a former railway hospital facility between 1992 and 1995. This development transformed older institutional grounds into a modern commercial and office space.
The building represents modern Japanese corporate architecture with its extensive public spaces, covering 70 percent of the ground area for community use.
The tower connects directly to Shinjuku Station and houses multiple restaurants, retail shops, and banking services throughout its lower levels. Its central location makes it easily walkable from other parts of the Shinjuku district.
The building features a large atrium on its south face that allows daylight to reach deep into the office areas below. This design choice creates unusually bright and open working spaces for a high-rise office complex.
