Kobe International House, Combined facility and skyscraper in Gokō-dōri, Japan.
Kobe International House is a modern multifunctional facility in a tall building with a main hall seating about 700 people, equipped with contemporary sound and lighting systems. The building also offers multiple meeting rooms of different sizes for various event types.
The facility was designed by the architecture firm Nikken Sekkei and opened in 1954 to promote international gatherings in the city. The project was part of Kobe's efforts to reposition itself and restore global connections after World War II.
The center serves as a meeting point where local visitors and international guests come together to share ideas and build connections. It has become an important hub for dialogue between different communities in the city.
The location is near Sannomiya Station and is easily accessible by public transportation, which connects directly to multiple train lines. You can also enter the facility through the underground Sanchika shopping mall, which is convenient during bad weather.
The reception hall features movable partition walls that transform the space and enable simultaneous events. This flexible design allows the interior to be adapted based on event needs.
