竹富町役場

The Taketomi Town Office is the main administrative building for the town, located on Ishigaki Island and serving the surrounding region. Inside the building you will find various municipal departments along with community organizations like the local Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Association.

The administrative center moved from Taketomi Island to Ishigaki in 1938 to serve the growing population more effectively. When village administration transformed into town status in 1948 following national municipal reforms, the office continued operating from this new location.
