竹富町役場

The Taketomi Town Office is a five-story steel structure with a total floor area of 4,446 square meters, located 200 meters north of the ferry terminal.

The office relocated from Taketomi Island to Ishigaki in 1938, and in 1948 the village administration transformed into Taketomi Town following municipal reforms.

The building integrates multiple community services, including the Chamber of Commerce, Tourism Association, and Social Welfare Council, serving as a central hub for local activities.

The facility maintains branch offices throughout the eastern part of Iriomote Island since 1981 to provide administrative services to residents across multiple islands.

The office building includes Tsumabeni, a municipal lodging facility for town residents, supporting community engagement and local development initiatives.
