Three Waterfalls of Kuroyama, Waterfall complex in Ogose, Japan
The Three Waterfalls of Kuroyama consist of three cascades: Odaki at 11.2 meters, Medaki at 4.5 meters, and Tengu Falls at 13.6 meters.
Ancient Yamabushi monks discovered these waterfalls and used them for meditation practices until conflicts with Nobunaga Oda in the 16th century.
Each waterfall carries specific names: Odaki represents the male element, Medaki the female element, and Tengu Falls references Japanese mythological creatures.
The waterfalls are accessible through marked walking paths, with the farthest fall located 800 meters from a parking area that fits 10 vehicles.
The location features a recently converted hot spring facility, now operating as Cafe St Gallen, offering both indoor retro and outdoor modern seating.
