Amuran, Ferris wheel at Amu Plaza Kagoshima, Japan
The Amuran Ferris wheel measures 60 meters in diameter and reaches a height of 91 meters above ground level at Amu Plaza Kagoshima.
After its inauguration in September 2004, the Ferris wheel achieved a notable milestone of one million riders by May 2007.
The Ferris wheel introduces visitors to Japanese engineering excellence through its precise construction and attention to technical details.
Located on the sixth floor of Amu Plaza near Kagoshima-Chuo Station, the Ferris wheel operates daily from 12:00 to 19:45.
Among the 36 gondolas that complete one rotation in 14 minutes and 30 seconds, two capsules feature completely transparent floors and walls.
