塚廻り古墳群

The Tsukamawari Kofungun contains multiple burial mounds and archaeological structures spread across the landscape of Gunma Prefecture.

Archaeological investigations conducted between June and July 1976 revealed numerous artifacts and structural remains from the ancient Japanese periods.

The excavated site yielded cylindrical and figurative haniwa, pottery pieces, stone tools, and a decorated coffin with deer engravings.

The archaeological site documentation is accessible through the cultural heritage databases and published reports by the Ota City Board of Education.

Researchers discovered 48 pottery pieces, two stone spears, and various implements indicating the settlement patterns of ancient Japanese communities.
