The museum, established in 1986, commemorates the regional mint industry that controlled seventy percent of global mint production before World War II.
The museum organizes monthly Mint Day celebrations on the third Sunday, offering mint water distributions and tea tastings to connect visitors with local traditions.
Located at Minaminakamachi 1-7-28, the museum opens from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM between May and October, and 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM from November to April.
Visitors can experience mint distillation demonstrations where they smell fresh mint oil and learn about the extraction techniques used in local production.
